Servecast, the leading supplier of streaming
media solutions to the sports industry, today
announced a partnership with MBS Productions to
webcast Cage Rage 17 - 'The Ultimate Challenge'
on July 1st live over www.cagerage.tv.
The Cage Rage trade mark is owned and operated
by Mixed Martial Arts Promotions Ltd (MMAP) of
London and provides world class, international
tournaments of full contact, mixed martial arts
(MMA - aka 'Cage Fighting'). Cage Rage has an
ever growing fan base around the world and now
claims to be the world's third most influential
MMA promotion, after Pride of Japan and the UFC
in the USA.
Cage Rage 17 will be staged in the new Wembley
Arena (capacity 12,000), be of 4 hours duration
and will feature 30 fighters from 8 countries.
The live webcast will feature the Main Card fights
to MMA fans anywhere in the world.
Using its advanced Media Studio platform, Servecast
will host, stream and deliver the Cage Fighting
event live and will make the competition available
on an on-demand basis for two weeks after the
end of the event. The event will be made available
live on a Pay Per View basis and will then be
made available as an archive for a limited period
to again be purchased on a Pay Per View basis.
This is based on a ticket price of $10 for pre-purchase,
$15 for the PPV on the day of the event and $10
for all on-demand purchases after the event.
Servecast will also provide the branded console
from where the end user will view the content.
The console will also include a full payment gateway
to securely collect subscriptions and gather user
data as registrations for the service.
MBS Productions will be provided with access
to Servecast's advanced multimedia management
platform, Media Studio CMS, which will provide
the tools to manage and upload any archived streaming
media. MBS Productions will also receive access
to online reports and detailed statistics of subscriptions
to the broadband event as well as a tailored revenue
tracking system.
As part of the service, Servecast will also set
up an end-user automated help system 'Intelli-help'
to help end-users on broadband receive the content
and have a high quality overall experience. There
will also be an e-mail customer support service.
