Servecast Limited, the leading international
provider of webcasting solutions today announced
that ACCA - the worldwide governing body for Chartered
Certified Accountants - has selected Servecast's
Enterprise Media Studio as the platform to provide
bespoke online courses and training for ACCA members.
The provision of online access to courses, information
and training of relevance to both global and local
markets will play a key role in the Association's
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme,
which will be phased in from January 2005 and
be a requirement for all 100,000 ACCA members,
working in every industry and position, throughout
their careers. The full range of innovative products
and services for the programme was launched by
the Association today.
Using Enterprise Media Studio, ACCA will capture
classroom based seminars, which will then be made
available online, together with features such
as PowerPoint slides, assessments, surveys and
web links. Servecast will also provide an online
certification system, enabling ACCA members to
verify their attendance at these online CPD sessions.
Stephen Heathcote, Head of Training & Development
at ACCA, said: "ACCA looks forward to working
with Servecast to provide high quality e-learning
to meet our members' and their employers' demands
for information and training when, how and where
they want it.
"We at ACCA are proud to be the first accountancy
body in the world to introduce this service for
our members and Servecast's proven record and
expertise in providing these technologies will
help to support our global reach."
Darach Deehan, CEO of Servecast, said: "We
are delighted to have been selected by ACCA as
a partner for the introduction of CPD for its
members throughout the world. Online delivery
of CPD content is an excellent way of facilitating
members in fulfilling the requirements of the
programme and will, undoubtedly, prove popular
with ACCA members worldwide.
"The selection of Enterprise Media Studio
by ACCA is another significant endorsement of
our platform, which is now used by numerous leading
enterprises and educational bodies around the
world as part of their drive to make their learning
and communications content available online ."
