MUTV Online together with Servecast, the streaming
media partner for Manchester United and other
top Premiership clubs, delivered live broadband
coverage last night of the Manchester United v
Europe XI match. The match was shown live on MUTV
Online and was also on BBC's website using their
feed and was made available to viewers all around
the world.
To view the match it was necessary to sign up
to the broadband video subscription service with
an option to subscribe for one month or one year.
Viewers watched the full 90 minutes as Sir Alex
Ferguson's side took on Marcello Lippi's all-star
team, which includes the likes of Gattuso and
Pirlo from AC Milan, Ibrahimov of Inter Milan,
Steven Gerrard of Liverpool and captain of the
Euopean XI Henrik Larsson. With a monthly and
an annual subscription choice, subscribers have
access to over 1000 video clips on their PC whenever
they like. Content available on MUTV Online includes
team news, player interviews, highlights, reserves
& academy footage. New clips are added every
weekday and after every match.
MUTV Online is one of the few Premier League broadband
services that offers its users the opportunity
to watch their team live (subject to rights being
made available).
