Everton Football Club will offer streaming media
to fans as part of a partnership deal with new-media
sportscasting supplier Servecast.
The exclusive five-year deal will see Servecast
provide a digital business platform which includes
streaming media, digital rights management, content
management, payment services, customer relationship
management, geo-targeting, web hosting and customer
support.
The streaming media service will include a full
range of live and archive Everton footage, video
news bulletins and exclusive online highlights.
The service will also provide Everton with comprehensive
subscription and payment services, CRM systems,
and seamless integration with existing online
merchandising and advertising.
Servecast will work with Everton's media partners
Rippleffect to produce a fully integrated solution
with the club's website, evertonfc.com.
Mark Rowan, head of communications for Everton
Football Club, said the partnership would provide
Everton with a "world-class subscription
service for our fans".
He said: "I am particularly impressed with
the new Servecast Media Studio platform that provides
us with a single point of management for our entire
streaming media service from delivery of live
and archive content and content management to
payment services and customer relationship management."
