Help the Aged have extended their use of online
video by publishing a short film in support of
their Pensions not Poverty international
campaign using Servecasts streaming media
solution. This follows on from the Charitys
successful use of online video in support of their
Enough is Enough elder abuse campaign
in February.
Help the Aged is an international charity fighting
to free disadvantaged older people from poverty,
isolation and neglect. The new video clip, hosted
and delivered by Servecast, shows the author Bill
Bryson introducing Pensions not Poverty
the Charitys campaign to encourage
the world leaders to introduce a social pension
for older people in developing countries.
Help the Aged, with its partner HelpAge International,
works with governments to fight for the rights
of deprived and vulnerable older people overseas
and to make sure that older people are included
in aid efforts. While in the UK, Help The Aged
lobbies to ensure the Governments overseas
aid policies reflect older peoples real
needs.
Alison McCormack, Head of New Media, Help the
Aged said, We have used online video in
direct support of our campaigns a number of times
now and we are delighted with the results so far."
Also speaking today, Darach Deehan, CEO of Servecast
said, "Help the Aged launched an online video
in support of the 'Enough is Enough' Elder Abuse
campaign, using Servecasts streaming media
solution, in February and was viewed over 25,000
times in just a few weeks. We are delighted to
be involved with Help the Aged, helping them promote
awareness of such important campaigns through
the delivery of streamed video for the Help The
Aged web site."
