Servecast, the leading specialist supplier of
new media sportscasting, has made two significant
appointments in the UK and Europe in order to
meet growing market demand for advanced streaming
media solutions in the sports industry.
John O'Connor former Commercial Director of SkySports.com
has been recruited by Servecast, the leading specialist
supplier of new media Sportscasting solutions,
as Business Development Director for Sports &
Media in the UK. John has extensive experience
in and knowledge of the sports industry. Throughout
his impressive career he has held senior positions
in Ladbrokes, Planet Football and most recently
Sky Sports. John has a proven track record of
successfully implementing and promoting online
sports strategies to grow online revenue streams
for sports bodies and rights owners. In his role
in Sky Sports he was responsible for managing
SkySports.com, planetfootball.com and ten third
party sports related websites. As Sports Director
at Planetfootball.com, the website became the
UK's leading official multi-football club website
and two years after its launch, it was acquired
by the Sports Internet Group. In his role in Ladbrokes,
John was responsible for maximizing revenues from
betting on sports events and he has worked with
many leading bookmaking partners to enhance online
revenue streams. John will be based in the UK
and will be responsible for business development
across all sports.
Meanwhile, Bertrand Pinon has joined Servecast
as Director of Business Development for Europe
as the company seeks to expand its footprint in
the European market place for new media sportscasting.
Bertrand holds a Masters Degree in Sports Marketing
from Ohio State University and has 13 years of
professional experience in sports business having
worked in the US and Asia. After 6 years spent
as Marketing & Communications Director of
a leading Virtual Advertising technology company,
Bertrand took over the Presidency of the Virtual
Imaging Alliance. Bertrand has also worked as
a consultant in new sponsorship & broadcast
technologies for the sports business industry.
Bertrand is based in Paris and is responsible
for growing Servecast's business activities in
Europe.
